EHRS is responsible for developing and implementing proper management practices for all aspects of the handling, storage, and disposal of chemical waste that is generated at the University of Pennsylvania. Our goal is to manage chemical waste in a safe and environmentally sound manner that complies with all applicable federal, state and local regulations.
All faculty, staff and students who generate and manage chemical waste must be trained according to EPA / PADEP regulations. EHRS provides this training in a web based module available through Workday Learning. The course is titled "Management of Laboratory Waste - UNIV"
