Infectious waste is identified, sorted, and disposed of appropriately. If NO, then Dispose of infectious waste through the University’s infectious waste stream. Consult the EHRS website for Infectious Waste Disposal Guidelines.
Infectious waste is decontaminated prior to disposal. If YES, then Decontaminate infectious waste by autoclaving before disposal through the infectious waste stream.
Materials labeled with the universal biohazard symbol are discarded through the infectious waste stream. If NO, then Dispose of all materials labeled with the universal biohazard symbol (including empty boxes, sharps containers, and bags) through the infectious waste stream.
